Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a holistic approach for the body, mind and spirit.

It uses essential oils to restore balance and harmony. 

Essential oils are natural substances extracted from aromatic plants. Through their composition they have the ability to reduce pain and inflammation, support the body’ s immune system, boost energy, regulate sleep and insomnia and regenerate our gastrointestinal flora- to name just a few of their therapeutic properties.

In the UK, Clinical aromatherapy is now the first complementary medicine used in oncology services, mainly to reduce nausea, pain, anxiety and fears.

The holistic approach of aromatherapy is due to the fragrances of the essential oils.

Through their aromas, essential oils reach the limbic system, a part of our brain that controls emotions, memories and behaviors. Hence, aromatherapy is very effective in reducing anxiety, stress, sleep and mood disorders.

Aromatherapy is a powerful tool to balance our emotions. It can enhance and uplift or relax and calm.

The result is a deep sense of wellbeing.

Essential oils are also wonderful allies to our skin, as they are excellent antioxidants and potent anti wrinkles agents. They can improve blood circulation, regenerate skin cells and boost collagen synthesis. Today, essential oils are used in most natural skincare and cosmetic products.

Depending on the reasons or symptoms, essential oils are carefully chosen and blended by the Aromatherapist. The blends can be applied on the skin, diffused in the air and/or inhaled. In some cases, they can also be taken orally under the supervision of the aromatherapist.
