the founder
Hi, I'm Myrna Saadeh. I am passionate about integrating Western Medicine with Eastern Philosophy to help people live fuller and happier lives.
Helping people has always been my ultimate passion; it’s why I did my BS in Nursing Sciences, it’s why I did my Masters of Science in Psychiatry Mental Health Nursing at the American University of Beirut, Faculty of Medicine, School of Nursing. I am also a former Instructor of Psychiatry.
My PhD is in Mind-Body Medicine with a focus on Integrative Mental Health. I continue travelling to California, USA to always continue my medical education.
It’s why I did not stop searching, and learning and acquired my certifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression Therapy, Thetahealing, Quantum Touch; to name a few, (more about them in the “services” section”). Until I found what I believe to be the best way to heal people; which is Integrative Medicine; combining conventional and alternative medicine together.
Why? Because conventional medicine is a one size fits all model. My belief is that health is more complex than that. No two people are alike; each person is unique in terms of DNA, physiology, subconscious beliefs, physical environment, the way the person was raised, eating patterns...you got the point!
Therefore, what causes dis-ease and dis-order in one person is not the same for another, and treatment for each will be different.
Every detail of your health history since before you were born till the present is interconnected like a web; and serves as a clue to your present state of health and I want to contain it all. My mission is to reach as many people, in as many places, in as many ways as possible and not only who can come see me. Therefore, for those who cannot see me in person, I share all that I can through this website, Skype and phone sessions, facebook page, twitter, instagram, and YouTube.
I’ve done all the work on myself too because I believe the more I know myself and harness my self-awareness, the more I’ll be able to know you. Practicing what I preach has made me see incredible health changes on a personal level.
Now it’s your turn! Let’s see what I can help you discover.
I’m based in Beirut, Lebanon and visit the Middle East often for consultations.
Here are a few of the things I believe in:
Not settling for being “healthy and not sick,” but instead only accepting optimum mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
Discovering peace and happiness in everyday life, even with chaos and stress present in our physical environment.
Integrating Eastern perspectives on mindfulness and spirituality into the Western view of the mind and brain.
Integrating traditional medical treatments with complementary/alternative approaches.
For the last years, since 2008 I’ve been integrating Eastern philosophy and holistic approaches with Western medicine; to not just medicate away illness, but strive for happiness, joy, and fulfillment of our greatest human potential.
How it all started and Wellbeing Center was born...
In 2007, while working in the Coronary Care Unit and being an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, I was diagnosed with Tachycardia (elevated heart rate-reaching 160 beat per minute), shortness of breath, weight loss. After seeing lots of doctors and doing several tests; everything came out negative – I was prescribed Concor as a beta blocker to lower my heart rate. Not one doctor mentioned that my symptoms can be a Panic Attack, or due to chronic stress & fatigue. It was very confusing for me to be told "There’s nothing wrong with you". Having those symptoms without a clear medical diagnosis had to mean something; right?!
At some points, I was terrified. A young, healthy woman with no family history, who eats well, exercises since she’s a kid, and who didn’t really believe she’s fragile.
This made me search for and believe in different approaches, get degrees and certifications in them, because I, personally, experienced their healing effect on me.
I appreciate you joining me here and I look forward to helping you along your journey with the medical team at Wellbeing Center.
